Shrutika Arjun, a participant in Bigg Boss 18, has found herself at the center of a heated controversy following a dispute with fellow contestant Alice Kaushik because of her South accent. Who Is Shrutika Arjun?

Shrutika Arjun, who rose to fame as the title winner of the popular Tamil show Cooku With Comali, is known for her easygoing and lighthearted personality. During her stint on the show, she frequently laughed off her box-office failures, showcasing her confidence. However, her entry into Bigg Boss 18 surprised many, especially since she came from a Tamil show into the Hindi version of the reality TV.

Alice, however, defended herself, insisting that she had always found Shrutika’s accent cute. "I’ve never mocked you, I’ve always said it’s cute!" Alice responded. But Shrutika interrupted, expressing frustration that this wasn’t the first time the issue had been brought up, suggesting that Alice was downplaying her feelings.

Alice Confinement:

The fight escalated when Alice and Shrutika’s argument continued into the kitchen area. Alice told her group that Shrutika’s way of speaking was something she struggled with, referring back to her own childhood experience with a South Indian friend. “I had a friend in class 6 who was South Indian. That’s why I find her accent funny,” Alice confided.

Shrutika, in turn, voiced her anger, claiming that she had made it clear from the start that her accent should not be a subject of mockery. "If I had a problem, I would have told you earlier. I don’t appreciate this behavior, especially when it’s being passed off as a joke,” she said.

Later, Alice, still seething, told her group that she intended to nominate Shrutika for every eviction from now on, calling the matter "personal." She further vowed to "set Shrutika’s happiness on fire" inside the house.
