Vasco Da Gama (2024) Tamil Movie Review Starring Nakkhul

Vasco Da Gama Movie

Vasco Da Gama movie, released in theatres on August 2, gets average reviews from the audiences. The movie has a unique storyline where it takes a audience to fantasy world.

Vasco Da Gama Plot:

Vasco Da Gama shows a world where good people are imprisoned in jail while bad people are enjoying freedom. The story follows Vasudevan, an activist who relocates after his brother dies from medical negligence. Reconnecting with his uncle and childhood friend, he is drawn into his uncle's criminal world, adopting a tough persona.

Meanwhile, his father is imprisoned for his virtue, and Vasudevan ends up in the same prison while trying to rescue a man from murderers. Confused with his malevolent brother, his father mistakenly sees him as a threat, leading to unexpected complications.

Vasco Da Gama Review:

Vasco Da Gama has received mixed reviews. The film's imaginative plot is a standout, creating a distinctive fantasy world that aims to offer morals in a fun way but struggles with its execution.

Vasco Da Gama's characters are the perfect fit for the roles and are filled with familiar faces like Nakkhul, K.S. Ravikumar, Arthana Binu, and others.  Their performance is good though the character development could have been stronger.

The film's music is engaging but occasionally feels overemphasized. The cinematography and prison set design are impressive, yet the film falls short in some areas of visual storytelling. The comedy scenes are effective in some areas.

However, the movie attempts a different plot but could have been executed better. Despite the flaws, the movie is a good family entertainer movie. Overall, the movie is worth watching once.

Vasco Da Gama Cast And Crew:

The movie features a talented cast including Nakkhul, K.S. Ravikumar, Arthana Binu, Vamsi Krishna, Anandraj Mansoor Ali Khan, Munishkanth, Redin Kingsley, Premkumar, T.M. Karthik, Badava Gopi, Namo Narayana, Ravi Mariya, and others. It was written and directed by RGK, with production handled by DATO’ B. Subaskaran. The film's music is composed by Arun NV.
