Thunivu Vs Varisu: Opening Day Box Office Trends Actor Ajith Leads?

On the occasion of Pongal, two big films, Varisu and Thunivu, were released and made the fans happy. Vijay and Ajith have an equal fan base, so the production houses boldly released both films. As expected, Vijay's Varisu and Ajith's Thunivu compete at the box office.

The combined day-one gross will be around approximately Rs. 45Cr+ in Tamil Nadu. Initial reports say that Thunivu is the first film in the total collection worldwide, and the Varisu film's collection is slightly less than Thunivu. 

While both the films received mixed reviews, overwhelmingly positive reviews have been flocking to the theatres. With the Pongal holiday remaining, the collection is expected to increase further. Varisu might likely boost the count at the Box office as it attracted the family audience.

Most of the general audience says that both movies are good and watchable. Both films cannot be compared as it is of different genre. Actor Ajith has shown mass actions in his way, whereas actor Vijay is attracted in his unique way.
