Shocking! Tamannaah Bhatia Summoned for Watching IPL on Illegal App?

Tamannaah Bhatia and Sanjay Dutt were summoned by a Maharashtra cyber cell for illegally watching IPL streaming on Fairplay apps.
Tamannaah is a famous Indian actress with a huge fan following. In this situation, the claims of the actress on streaming the IPL in the Fairplay app left her fans in shock. Actress Tamannaah is asked to appear in Maharashtra Cyber cell over the issue on April 29.
What is Fairplay Online App?
Fairplay is a betting app that allows the user to watch games like Cricket, Poker, Badminton, Tennis, Football card games, chance games, or any other game. The viewers are allowed to bet and win or lose their money in the app.
The Fairplay app attracts the audience with a quote saying, 'Watch and Win at the Same time'. The Fairplay apps are illegal as the streaming rights of the match were provided to different owners.
Mahadev Online Gaming App:
Mahadev Online Gaming App, an illegal betting and game streaming platform, has been banned by the Indian Government. Despite the ban, the app continues to appear to users through various social media platforms or links.
The Mahadev app has thousands of franchisees across India, with the highest number being in Chhattisgarh. Its turnover is estimated to be between Rs 5,000 crore and Rs 20,000 crore.
Illegal IPL Streaming:
Viacom18 has acquired the streaming rights for IPL. However, the Fairplay app's streaming of IPL will result in a loss of approximately 100 crores for Viacom18.
Actors Involved In Betting Apps:
This is not the first time actors tied up with the Mahadev betting app, last year actors Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor appeared in ads for the app and were summoned by the Enforcement Directorate for questioning.
Apart from Tamannaah, famous Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt was also asked to appear in Cyber Cell on April 23. But the actor requested for the investigation to be rearranged, as he was not present in India
Tamannaah will answer the investigation over the accusations of streaming IPL in the Fairplay app to Maharashtra Cyber Cell on April 29.
