Pushpa 2: The Rule movie, starring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna, continues making high collections at the box office. Following a record-breaking opening weekend, the movie has maintained its box-office collections despite a noticeable drop in earnings on its fifth day.
Released on December 5, the film earned a staggering ₹593.1 crore in just five days. Monday saw a collection of ₹64.1 crore across all languages in India. The Hindi version emerged as the highest contributor, raking in ₹46 crore, while the Telugu version earned ₹14 crore. Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam versions added ₹ three crore, ₹50 lakh, and ₹60 lakh, respectively.
Despite a 54% dip in collections compared to Sunday, the film draws significant crowds. The week beginning showed that Monday morning shows came down to 23%, and evening shows peaked at 53%. The Hindi screenings had 40.11% occupancy, while Telugu shows managed 38.33%.
The movie follows Pushpa Raj, played by Allu Arjun, as he consolidates his power within the Red Sanders smuggling world. Rashmika Mandanna shines as Srivalli, Pushpa’s wife, while Fahadh Faasil returns as the menacing Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat.
While Fahadh’s character was expected to offer a more layered performance, some fans felt his role lacked depth and became fun-filled and focused more on Pushpa’s heroic performance.
Nonetheless, Pushpa 2 has achieved unprecedented milestones, grossing over ₹50 crore in two languages on the same day.
As the story concludes with hints of a sequel, audiences eagerly await Pushpa 3: The Rampage. Meanwhile, Fahadh Faasil is set to explore a different genre, starring alongside Tripti Dimri in Imtiaz Ali’s upcoming romantic comedy, Idiots of Istanbul.
With its unmatched box office performance and widespread acclaim, Pushpa 2: The Rule remains a blockbuster phenomenon, setting new standards in Indian cinema.
