Minister Retracts Claims On Samantha, Naga Chaitanya Divorce

The recent statements made on Samantha and Naga Chaitanya by Konda Surekha, a minister have sparked significant controversy and backlash on social media with the tag "Film Industry Will Not Tolerate"

Konda Surekha’s Retraction:

In the face of escalating backlash, Konda Surekha retracted her initial comments, stating, "My comments were intended to challenge a leader's belittling of women, not to hurt your sentiments, Samantha. Your journey of self-empowerment is an inspiration to me."

She further added, "If Samantha or your fans are offended by my comments, I unconditionally retract them. Please do not misinterpret my intentions."

Konda Surekha’s Initial Statement:

On October 2, Konda Surekha claimed that KT Rama Rao played a pivotal role in the Samantha and Naga Chaitanya split, alleging that KTR asked for Samantha not to demolish the N Convention center. 

She further asserted that Nagarjuna had pressured her to approach KT Rama Rao and that was the reason behind their divorce. These comments quickly went viral, igniting speculation and rumors across various platforms.

Samantha Response:

Samantha addressed the matter through an Instagram story, emphasizing the challenges women face in the film industry, where they are often treated as mere props. She stated, "It takes a lot of courage and strength to stand up and fight." 

Samantha also addressed the weight of a minister’s words, declaring, "My divorce is a personal matter, and I request that you refrain from speculating about it. Our decision to keep things private does not invite misrepresentation. To clarify: my divorce was by mutual consent and amicable, with no political conspiracy involved."

Akkineni Family Response:

Naga Chaitanya also addressed the issue, stating, "The decision to divorce is one of the most painful and unfortunate life choices one can make. After much reflection, my former spouse and I reached a mutual decision to part ways."

The Akkineni family publicly condemned Surekha’s remarks, with Akhil Akkineni referring to her as a "sociopath." He expressed his support for his family, stating, "I’m sorry that you have to address this demonic nonsense, but sometimes we have to confront such sociopaths."
