May 31, 2024 Theatre Release Tamil Movies List

May end surprises the audiences with action and crime thriller movies and this week is especially great for crime thriller enthusiasts. The most anticipated movie for this week is Garudan with a powerful cast and strong storyline. 

Last week's May 24 theater movie releases offered movie lovers exciting movies with PT Sir and Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga (2024) and the other movies released received moderate and below-average reviews from the audiences.

Garudan:

Garudan is one of the most expected movies with its intriguings. Garudan is an action drama movie set in a village and the movie dwells on the themes of loyalty, betrayal, and slavery in the name of loyalty.

The movie revolves around Soori, Sasi Kumar, and Unni Mukundan in the lead roles. The trailer shows Sasi Kumar and Unni Mukundan as best friends and Soori as a loyal servant to Unni Mukundan and it further unveils the twists and turns that happened in their lives. 

The movie songs released also get good reviews from the audiences. The movie expectation level increased as actors Sivakarthikeyan and Vijay Sethupathi attended the Garudan audio launch and delivered good words about the movie. Fans are eagerly waiting to watch the movie in theatres on May 31.

The star-studded cast of Garudan movie includes Soori, Sasikumar, Unni Mukundan Revathi Sharma, Sshivada, Roshini Haripriyan, Samuthrakani, Mime Gopi, R.V.Udayakumar, Vadivukarasi, Dushyanth, Motta Rajendran, and Bragida. Yuvan Shankar Raja composed the music for the movie. The movie was written and directed by R.S.Durai Senthilkumar and  Produced by K.Kumar.

Hitlist:

Hitlist is the upcoming Psycho thriller which will be released on May 31. The movie trailer reveals Sarath Kumar as a police officer in the movie trying to solve a tricky case. The psycho-thriller movies create interest in the audience as the people try to figure out the question, " Who is the Killer?".

The Hitlist trailer shows a man with a mask who creates a game and provides tasks for them to complete or they have to face a cruel death. The cruelty shown in the trailer of Killing the People mercilessly reminds the Hollywood movie Saw.

The trailer intrigues audiences and creates anticipation for wanting more. Sarath Kumar has already done a psycho-thriller movie Por Thozhil (2023) which received positive reviews from audiences. In this case, fans are expecting the movie to be a good Psycho thriller and eagerly waiting to watch the movie Hitlist in theatres.

The film music was composed by C Sathya. Hitlist was written and directed by Sooryakathir Kaakkallar and K. Karthikeyan, and Produced by K S Ravikumar under the banner R K Celluloids.

Bujji At Anupatti:

Bujji At Anupatti is a Tamil drama based on the love the children have for their pets. The movie trailer shows a sister and brother raising a street goat as their pet in their village and named it Bujji.

The goat Bujji was taken away from the children, and they went in search of the goat, leaving their village. This action put them in a lot of problems and struggles and made a strong point about people being biased even with pet animals.

The movie trailer depicts the children's love for the goat Bujji and the struggles they face to save it, challenging the notion of goats as mere food for humans. This trailer reminds the movie Sevappi (2024) where a little boy considers a Hen as his own child and faces a lot of struggle to keep it with him. 

The Movie Bujji At Anupatti showing the innocence of the children and their pure love towards their pet will be released in theatres on May 31.

The Akaali:

The Akaali is an upcoming thriller movie that is set to release in theatres on May 31. The trailer shows the dark side of superficial beliefs like performing witchcraft and black magic.

The trailer adds that even though the world is moving technologically forward, there are still many people who dwell on dark magic and witchcraft.

The trailer has a strong impact on viewers with its portrayal of the witchcraft world. The Akaali movie trailer further details how the witch sees the killing as an offering and it also shows the perspectives of the witch crafter, police, and people involved in witchcraft.

Kuttrapinnani:

Kuttrapinnani is an upcoming Tamil movie that is not confirmed to be released on May 31. The movie trailers show action scenes and random killings happening around the area.

The story is about how Saravanan changes his name to Susai after commits murders and tries to escape his crimes. Will he be arrested by Sentamilian? 

Kuttrapinnani Cast And Crew:

Kuttrapinnani cast features Deepali, Dhakshayini, Karate Raja, and Saravana. The movie was Directed by N.P. Ismail, and Produced by Aysha Akmal. The music for the movie is done by JIT.
