June 14 2024 Tamil Theatre Movie Release List

This week on June 14, there are only two movies expected to be released in theatres. Last week's movie releases were not well performed in theatres and received average and below-average responses from the audiences.

Maharaja (2024):

Maharaja is an upcoming Vijay Sethupathi movie which set to release in theatres on June 14. The movie is special for Vijay Sethupathi and his fans as it is the 50th film of the actor. The movie trailer got positive responses from the actors as the film concept is unique. 

The movie Maharaja follows a barber named Maharaja (Vijay Sethupathi) who is caught up in a tragic situation. The trailer opens with Maharaja filing a complaint stating 'Laxmi' is missing. He does not address the nature of Lakshmi, just addressing it with hand gestures confusing the police. This intrigued the viewers as they tried to figure out 'Who is Lakshmi?'.

The trailer features action and suspense scenes and revolves around a mystery crime possibly involving Vijay Sethupathi. Vijay Sethupathi is seen wearing a plaster over one of his ears in the trailer.

The movie is a combination of suspense, thriller, action, crime, and emotional drama. Maharaja movie streaming rights have been bought by Netflix and the movie is expected to be released on the Ott platform in July 2024.

The Maharaja movie cast includes Vijay Sethupathi, Kashyap, Divya Bharathi, and Abhirami. The movie is written and directed by Nithilan Swaminathan, whose debut movie is Kurangu Bommai. Ajaneesh Loknath composed the music for the film, which was produced by Sudhan Sundaram and Jagadish Palanisamy.

Pithala Maathi:

Pithala Maathi is an upcoming movie that blends Action, Comedy, Drama, and Romance. The story revolves around two poor water suppliers. 

Their life takes a turn as they misunderstand a girl as a prostitute and later, they find out this girl reveals the surprising secret life of a respected government official who's actually a wild nymphomaniac. There are many familiar cast in the film especially in comedian roles.

The movie Pithala Maathi is set to release in theatres on June 14 along with the Movie Maharaja.

Pithala Maathi Cast And Crew:

Pithala Maathi movie cast includes Umapathy Rammayya, Bala Saravanan, Thambi Ramaiah, Vinutha Lal, Deva Dharshini, Samskruthy Shenoy, and Madurai Muthu. The movie was written and directed by Manika Vidya and produced by G Saravana. The music for the film was composed by Arunagiri. 

The movie Garudan, released on May 31, features Soori with Sasi Kumar and Unni Mukundan. It has received positive reviews from audiences. Soori plays the role of a loyal servant to Unni Mukundan, who is faced with a choice between loyalty and justice. The movie's performance and editing received praise for effectively presenting this concept.
