Garudan (2024) Movie Review Starring Soori And Sasi Kumar

Garudan is a drama-action movie released in theatres today (May 31), and the movie is getting favourable reviews from the audiences.  

Garudan Movie Plot:

The movie "Garudan" revolves around Soori, Sasi Kumar, and Unni Mukundan in the lead roles. It introduces Sasi Kumar and Unni Mukundan as best friends, with Soori as a loyal servant to Unni Mukundan. The movie further unveils the twists and turns that occur in their lives because of the land.

Garudan Movie Review:

After the trailer release, Garudan caught the eyes of the audience and created high anticipation among movie lovers. In this situation, the audio launch of the movie increased the hype among the fans, and actors Vijay Sethupathi and Sivakarthikeyan joined the function and made it special for the movie team.

The Garudan fulfilled the expectations that had been made around the movie. The movie is a blend of action, loyalty, betrayal, and drama. The movie is about Soori's feelings towards the problems that were created in the movie and he as a hero aced in the role. Soori is a devoted servant to Unni Mukundan, his loyalty runs deep. In this situation, where Soori is put in a situation in which he has to choose between loyalty and righteousness. 

The movie is projected raw and shows cruelty and violence with bloodshed to the viewers. The action scenes intrigued the audience, and the fights were adequately shot. Garudan transports the audience to village life and beautifully depicts Kombai, a village in Theni. The screenplay is engaging and endears the audience to the movie even more.

Garudan movie surprises viewers with its twists and turns and there is no lag in the movie. The actors in the movie are a perfect fit for their roles and the movie also has a beautiful love story. The film's background score steals the show, especially in the interval block.

Garudan moves with many violent scenes that are not advisable for children to watch. The movie songs do not match the vibe of the movie. However, Garudan is a good movie to watch in theatres for drama and action movie lovers.

The movie Garudan features a star-studded cast including Soori, Sasikumar, Unni Mukundan, Revathi Sharma, Sshivada, Roshini Haripriyan, Samuthrakani, Mime Gopi, R.V.Udayakumar, Vadivukarasi, Dushyanth, Motta Rajendran, and Bragida. The music for the movie was composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. R.S. Durai Senthilkumar wrote and directed the movie, which was produced by K. Kumar.

Actor Soori:

Actor Soori's birth name is Ramalakshmanan Muthuchamy, and he changed his name for his career to Soori. He is a comedian and actor from India who mainly appears in the Tamil film industry.

Soori gained fame after his work in the movie Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu (2009). He was also nicknamed Parotta Soori after the movie as the comedy scene in the movie was a big hit.

Following that, the actor has appeared in movies as comedian Sundarapandian (2012), Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam (2013), Pandiya Naadu (2013), Jilla (2014), Rajini Murugan (2016) Idhu Namma Aalu (2016), Velainu Vandhutta Vellaikaaran (2016) and others. The actor played comedy roles in many movies with popular Tamil heroes. 

Later, the actor faced criticism for his comedies being outdated. Soori then made his debut as a lead in the movie Viduthalai Part 1, with Vijay Sethupathi playing a guest role. The movie was a huge success, and Soori was appreciated for his acting.
