Last week's release, "Boat," received positive reviews from audiences. However, "Mazhai Pidikatha Manithan" received mixed reviews and became embroiled in controversy.

Andhagan:

Andhagan movie is set to release in theatres on August 9. The movie introduces Prasanth as a talented blind pianist. His life takes an unexpected turn when he inadvertently becomes a witness to a murder. As the story unfolds, Prasanth finds himself caught in a complex web of mystery.

Andhagan Cast And Crew:

Directed by Thigarajan, Andhagan is a remake of the 2018 Hindi film Andhadhun by Sriram Raghavan. The film stars Prasanth as the pianist and features an ensemble cast that includes Karthik, Simran, and Priya Anand.

The supporting cast comprises Samuthirakani, Urvashi, Yogi Babu, K. S. Ravikumar, and Vanitha Vijayakumar. The music for the film, composed by Santhosh Narayanan, was produced by Staar Movies and distributed by V Creations.

Park:

Park is a horror thriller movie set to be released in theaters on August 9. The movie tells the story of a couple who are kidnapped by gangsters and end up in a haunted park, where they become possessed by spirits. They must escape in a blend of comedy and horror.

Light House (Tamil):

Light House is a gripping crime thriller set to release in theaters on August 9. The story revolves around a man who meticulously plans his revenge for the murder of his lover, driven by determination. As he executes his calculated scheme, the film exposes a ruthless world where greed and simple desires have no limits, revealing a dark narrative where revenge is served with preciseness.

P2 (2024):

P2 is an upcoming Horror movie that is getting a theatre premiere on August 9. The movie is based on hate crimes where people kill others because they personally don't like them. According to the teaser, the movie is expected to show a love story of a couple who is killed due to social class differences and takes revenge as a ghost.

P2 Cast And Crew: 

The P2 Cast features Manoj and Sidhu as main leads and also includes Elavarasu, Dheepa, Sampath Ram, Raja Simma, and Raatchasan Yasar. The movie was produced by P. Ramalingam under Aram Production with Sivam Production. The music for P2 is composed by Thenisai Thendral Deva.

Naan Dan Jhansi:

Naan Dan Jhansi is an upcoming action thriller movie set to release in theatres on August 9. The movie tells the story of Jhansi, an undercover IPS officer, who is driven by a quest for vengeance after her family is murdered. As she fights against corruption, she teams up with allies to bring the criminal responsible to justice.

The film stars Raai Laxmi in the role of Jhansi and features P.S. Srijith. Produced by Rajesh Kumar under Bhavani Entertainment Production Company, the movie is directed by P.V.S. Guru Prasad. KN Krupakar has composed the music for Naan Dan Jhansi.

Veerayi Makkal:

Veerayi Makkal is a Tamil drama set in a village. It is scheduled to be released in theaters on August 9th. The story revolves around a family consisting of three brothers and a sister. The family endures escalating tensions and divisions but comes together through forgiveness in the wake of a tragedy. This ultimately reinforces their deep familial bonds.
