Ponniyin Selvan 1 To Kantara: 70th National Film Awards Winners

The winners of the 70th National Film Awards were announced at the National Media Center in New Delhi on August 16. Nithya Menen bagged the award as best actress for Tiruchitrabalam and Ponniyin Selvan: Part 1, which won the most awards, securing four categories.
This year’s competition was open to feature and non-feature films certified by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) between January 1, 2022, and December 31, 2022.
The jury for the awards included Rahul Rawail as Chairperson of the Feature Film Jury, Nila Madhab Panda as Chairperson of the Non-Feature Film Jury, and Gangadhar Mudalair as Chairperson of the Best Writing on Cinema Jury.
