Hyundai's revamped Creta 2020 and Verna facelift to embellish the auto expo 2020:
South Korean Auto Maker Hyundai Motor Corporation has planned to unveil its 2020 Creta and Verna facelift in the biennial event auto expo to be conducted in February 2020 in Delhi. Creta is the best-selling SUV in 2015 and got the tag too, as 'Best SUV of 2015'. From then on, the car has been the dream vehicle for many in the Indian market.
Indian market slowly comes out of the small car nutshell and looking forward to luxury, comfort, and safety. None other than SUV would satisfy all these three as a package. India is slowly declining towards the SUV segment. The facelift Verna and Creta 2020 would give a boost in sales for the second largest passenger car seller in India.
The auto industry is going through rough terrain due to several regulatory changes. Now that everything comes back to normalcy, Hyundai's unveiling of these two models will boost the sales up. With Creta gaining popularity as a small SUV, KIA Seltos and MG Hector entered the roads of SUV and gave fierce competition.
Understanding the market well, Hyundai's plans to introduce Creta 2020 the next generation, is the best strategy. Three small SUVs will have fair and free competition on the SUV road though Seltos and MG Hector do dent the "monopoly popularity" of Creta.
The next generation Creta is already on the roads of China and has been named ix25. It also introduced revamped Verna and disclosed prices for both the models. For the Chinese market, Creta’s price is tagged at Rs 10.6L to Rs 13.7L. Unlike the current model, which decks 1.6-liter engine coupled with 6-speed automatic transmission, the next generation Creta comes with a 1.5-liter petrol engine coupled with Continuous Variable Transmission (CVT).
The interior too, looks trendy with a 10.4-inch touch screen the first-in-its kind. The bottom line is Hyundai is setting the grounds to play high in the coming days.
